The Point of Honor. Joseph Conrad.

The Point of Honor

New York: McClure Company, 1908. First Edition. Cloth. 1st edition (actually the 1st separate edition, as this novella was collected as The Duel, with 5 others, in the London edition of A Set of Six, earlier in 1908). Cloth, 1st binding (and almost all of them are). Small library mark removed from spine, else near fine, but being candid, this book can be had in a dustjacket, in fact it is the earliest Conrad 1st edition that I’ve seen in a jacket, reminding me of an interminably annoying enigma. What’s up with the Conrads in dustjacket between 1895 and 1907? Near fine. Item #124

”I would grind Ezra Pound into fine powder if the sprinkling of it on [Joseph] Conrad’s grave would bring him back to life.” -Ernest Hemingway.
