The Song of the Lark. Willa Cather.

The Song of the Lark

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1915. First Edition. Cloth. 1st edition, 1st printing (boxed ads and “moment” for "moments"). I suppose this is the initial modern, women’s coming of age novel. Cather’s crafty argument is that success isn’t permanent and failure isn’t fatal, and this is spun in a plotline that has a heart of gold, but then again, so does a hard boiled egg. Near fine, without the dustjacket which represents 99% of this book’s price. Near fine. Item #126

Price: $325.00
