Mexico (?): 1932. Original unpublished photograph, 2 1/2” X 3 7/16” inscribed in ink to Sam [uel Loveman], signed “Hart” and dated “Mexico 1932” (the year of his suicide). Handsome Crane, seated on a step, hushed as the snickers of researchers aimed at placebo groups, flashy white suit, holding a small animal (I’ll guess a piglet but it may be a dog because he mentions a new pup in a letter to Loveman from about the same time). Whatever, the animal’s an alien looking beastette with an eerie Hollywood smile. Near fine. Rare. Near fine. Item #240
