The war coinage for Caesar’s campaign against the largest concentration of his opponents climaxing in victory at Thapsus (April, 46 B. C.). 18mm. 3.62 grams. Extremely fine, an upgrade to the Dr. Jacobs coin (the first of the Cr. 458s listed) from the original collection, but most remarkable for the centering, as every single dot in the border is visible, and there is metal outside the border, all around on both sides. Cr. 458. 18mm. 3.62 grams.
