Denarius; Crawford 443/1 var!

MINT MOVING WITH CAESAR in Northern Italy: 54, 49BCE. Caesar’s first denarius. Elephant (right), trampling serpent. From 833 obverse dies, there is only 1 obverse die like this with “CAESAS” (the discovery coin, completely unexpected, unique so far in numismatics and the only one known to me)! 4 pontifical implements on reverse, simpulum (ladle), aspergillum (sprinkler), securis (axe surmounted by dog or wolf’s head), and apex (flamen’s cap).
